Biography
(Cincinnati 1931 - New York 2004)
The U.S. artist is considered one of the leading exponents of American Pop Art. After graduating in psychology at the University of Cincinnati, in 1956 began his studies at the Cooper Union School of Arts and Architecture in New York. In 1961 he organized the first solo exhibition in New York. The following year he took part in the group exhibition New Realists, organized by Sidney Janis Gallery of New York. This is the moment that marks the beginning of an international success.
